Angie Taylor is an expert trainer and a professional motion graphic designer with over 25 years experience in the film and TV industry.
She is an Adobe Community Professional, providing help and support via the Adobe forums.
She has published several books and articles on animation and motion graphic design.
Angie is a Lynda.com instructor, creating video tutorials and workshops for designers, artists and editors. Angie will be your trainer for most of the courses taught at the Creative Cabin.
Motion Graphic designer
Angie spends most of her time working as an animator, illustrator and motion graphic designer.
She studied sculpture and drawing at Edinburgh College of Art and since then has enjoyed over twenty-five years in the TV & film industry.
Prop-maker
She began her career producing props for close up photography and film. Now she spends her days creating animation, illustration and motion graphics. Her previous clients include BBC, Channel 4, Adobe, Apple as well as countless independent production companies.
Expert trainer & product specialist
Angie is a product specialist for Adobe. She regularly tours the world delivering software demonstrations and seminars on digital film-making and animation processes at international trade shows and conferences like After Effects World, NAB, IBC, Flash on the Beach and Macworld. She also contributes video tutorials to Adobe TV.
Author
The author of six successful books including Creative After Effects and Design Essentials for the motion media artist. Angie is also co-author (with Todd Kopriva) of After Effects CS5 Learn by Video.
Angie is also an author of video training courses at Lynda.com. She is also a regular contributer to Digital Arts, 3D World & Creativebloq.
Dedicated to learning & teaching
Angie has provided bespoke training and consultancy for numerous companies and individuals over the years. She limits training to a few days per month so that she can continue her work as a freelance motion graphic designer. This means she is always picking up new tips and tricks for the most efficient workflows.
Angie is a visiting lecturer on the Digital Media Arts MA course at Brighton Art College

Hibernation – John Williams
Visual Effects on the multi-award-winning short film Hibernation from John Williams, who was the recipient of two awards for excellence in advertising at Cannes.
Beck – Guero
Angie worked with UK-based design house, D-Fuse on the ground breaking DVD album, Guero, by musician, Beck. Angie collaborated with D-Fuse on a series of animations.
Aphex Twin – Chris Cunningham – Rubber Johnny
Angie worked with Chris Cunningham and Warp Records on “Rubber Johnny” a collaboration with Aphex Twin. She worked as animation assistant, creating morphing animations in Adobe After Effects with the Revision Reflex plug-in.
